What a wonderful first year it has been! Asante Sana! Thank you!
Friends of Kibera would like to thank each and every one of you for your continued support to help our partners, Anajali School and the Fr. Jim Karaffa Business Academy for Women (JKBAW), assist and educate the residents of the Kibera Slum in Nairobi, Kenya.
Anajali School provides a safe environment for over 400 children in grades K-8 who live where sanitation, clean water and food are all scarce. Your generous donations are helping to support teachers’ salaries at this vital school where students know that their only chance of ever being able to leave the life in the slum is to get an education.
Friends of Kibera is working to support JKBAW to have a place of its own. Since enrolling its first class in 2003, it has been operating out of borrowed spaces, which has been challenging to say the least. To have a permanent location to operate will be made possible by your donations.
Please consider making a donation today to help us to continue our important mission by going to our Donate Now page to donate online or mail in your support!
